No matter how you look at it, MINI offers a whole bunch of fun. Perhaps the only way to crank up the fun factor would be to chop the top off for some real open air action. We drove the last generation MINI Convertible at Pocono Raceway and absolutely fell in love with the whole package.
For the new 2009 model, designers have taken that package and bumped it up a couple of notches. They’ve kept the things that worked and added in a few new features that set it apart from the competition. Perhaps most importantly is the functionality of a sliding roof that can be opened at speeds up to 20 miles per hour. Now, sun seekers can prove how cool they are with the Openometer, a gauge which shows how many hours you have driven with the roof open. Cool stuff!
