Well, wouldn’t you? Being short has it’s perks!
Aside from the obvious, our young lad had his first real media credentials for a race weekend today and used it to take some stunning paddock shots at Mosport. As regular readers have seen before, the boy has an eye.
Unfortunately, his dear old Dad is way behind the times. I’m almost embarrassed to say that I’ve made it this far without using the actual Adobe Photoshop program, instead using a freebie photo editor. Now that I’ve bought and installed Photoshop, I already ahve a love, hate relationship. First off, the damn thing won’t resize photos! I ask long time users and they shrug…”well, yeah”. Sorry, but I don’t get it. Secondly, the interface isn’t all that friendly when working through a couple of hundred images trying to decide which files to upload. Either that, or I’m just useless.
At some point over the next day or so, we’ll show you how The Dude’s day went. He truly grabbed some incredible shots!

Photoshop definitely IS NOT a suitable program for sorting photos. Use something like Lightroom for that. Photoshop is purely for editing photos. Lightroom will also let you easily resize, adjust photos, and then upload/create galleries, etc. If you’re stuck in photoshop you can still resize photos using Image > Image Resize… – and you could also do batch resizes with File > Automate > Batch… But my suggestion would be to get Adobe Lightroom.
What young lad?
