When I first started blogging, it was to have a bit of fun. Maybe down the road it might lead to earning some sort of living, but it had to be fun. It also had to be about cars, because the car hobby has been such a huge part of my life. Regular readers will know that my likes and dislikes are pretty varied and I try to encompass all of them here in The Garage.
The comment has been made that maybe The Garage is a bit too general. In other words, there isn’t enough focus on any specific topic. Other bloggers are happy to do a single marque niche blog and many of them do it very well. I tend to have a lot of random thoughts about cars in general and find just as many random things interesting as I come across them. One of the joys of The Garage for me is the ability to share some of these random thought with whoever wants to enjoy them with me.
So what do you, the reader think? Should The Garage be more focused? Should there be more opinions, news, reviews? Is there too many videos, or not enough? Let me know, I’m dying to know.
If you’re too shy to post it in the comments sections, then feel free to send an e-mail to

I think the random thoughts and musings on all things auto are great. Autoblog is nice but it’s a corporate thing. They get great access but you have to always remember it is corporate. Left Lane News seems just to be a parrot of Autoblog. But you never know what you will see in The Garage. Kind of like a visit to Jay Leno’s place. And that is a good thing!
