Vintage views from The Garage

Even with the LA Auto Show on the go, I don’t see an awful lot in the feeds that is getting me excited tonight, so I thought we’d fire up the way back machine. The image above is from the September 69 edition of Canadian Track and Traffic. The AMX on the right is piloted by none other than the grand pappy of my kids, Bud tucker. The car was raced in A Sedan in Ontario and was wickedly fast, when the engine held together. As I was a bit over 2 years old then, you could say that my addiction to cars was beaten into me by this beast.

After the break, we’ve got more pics and a bit of a blogger surprise

I’m sure many readers of The Garage also keep an eye on Classical Drives. As the smart cookies among you may have picked up on, fellow Canadian blogger Philip Powell has been writing about cars for more than a few years. Along the way, Phil has used a couple of pen names, one being Phil Murray while he was working with Canadian Track and Traffic.

I thought you would all appreciate the vintage floating head view of Phil.

You’re welcome Phil!
