Those of you who have read your copy of The Driver already know that Herr Roy suffered more than a little embarrassment when he planted a brand spanking new Lamborghini into a wall. I’m sure that the sting has subsided a little in the past 3 years, but this video I just came across must cause Alex’s eyes to burn.

Herr Roy!! Hello! I’m having a bit of online trouble (couldn’t send an email via myspace or others) so I had to come all this way just to say hello and to tell you I just finished your book, and how much I admire the courage it took to find yourself–too many people refuse to look in at themselves anymore. Well done! Here here!
Indeed, it is often hard for a New Yorker to impress a redneck like me—but I am very impressed (see redneck’s last words—”watch this!”), and by Team Polezei as well. As a collective, you are either the most courageous,focused and absolutely brilliant race team I’ve heard of, or,(and I say this in good nature) a bubbling cauldren of the most inflicted, infected psychos that I would never be able to win against. You and the entire crew have shown more BALLS than I will ever know. HOORAH! I hand you my crown and make myself your humble servant. All of you are wonderful and talented people and anyone who knows any of you should be proud to call you friend.( or maybe fiend? ROFLMAO) At any rate, I have taken too much of your time already, so I bid you many happy miles in the road of life and remind you to watch out for the black and white Volkswagens!
