Ok, so I know it’s 2007 but I was just flicking through an old blogger blog I used to write and came across these photos. They were taken at the 2005 VARAC Festival at Mosport by our friend Rob Treml.

Friend of The Garage Ian Lok navigates the legendary Corner 2 in his Volvo 122s

Ian’s 122 has a race history that dates back to the Sixties, in fact the car may have been run in the Trans Am at Watkins Glen in 67 when another team car was damaged.

From a distance, this looks like a 7, but there is no mistaking Kiki for a Lotus when the big V8 comes to life. This car has always been a fave with our kids.

Having spent time with a new Ferrari Dino as a kid, this one kind of blew me away. I’ve never seen a Dino race car before.

This summer, the VARAC Festival promises to be an exciting weekend, as they are celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Canadian Grand Prix at Mosport. Not only will there be a bunch of F1 cars, but also some of the men who drove them. I was there the first time around and you can be sure I’ll be there this time too.
