According to the newspaper Göteborg Tidning an unnamed source at General Motors suggests that the top three bidders hail from three countries.
Chinese auto firm Geely, Italy’s Fiat, and a German investment bank are the three most likely to purchase Saab from their current owner General Motors. The source also added that current GM CEO Fritz Henderson is reluctant to sell.
Saab administrator Guy Lofalk has told the paper that the three bidders have signed on to Saab’s reconstructing plan which includes moving the manufacturing of their yet to be released new 9-5 to the plant in Trollhättan.
