The May Two Four. Victoria Day Weekend. A sure sign that Spring has arrived in Ontario. The smell of lilacs and racing fuel mix gently in the breeze while the sounds of internal combustion engines threatens the eardrums. Yes, racing has returned to Mosport!
While I’m still at the track, I thought I’d give our readers a bit of a taste of what is happening this weekend. The SCCA racers are here with the World Challenge and the always popular Muscle Milk Trans Am series. Locally, we have the exciting Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championships, which includes a few NASCAR Canada cars who are testing for events later in the season.
The 800 plus horsepower Trans Am cars have a long history of putting on a great show at Mosport, but the highlight of the weekend has to be the World Challenge, where highly modified production cars battle it out door to door. It is guaranteed to be an exciting race.

I just got in from a couple of media hot laps in the K-Pax Volvo with Randy Pobst. I’ll tell you more about that in a bit.
