I’m suffering a brain cramp this evening, so I thought I’d peruse The Garage on Flickr to see what fun stuff has been submitted recently. As so often happens, I’m drawn to the history offered up by friend of The Garage, Lou Galanos.
The shot above shows Mark Donohue in the Kirk F White/Roger Penske Ferrari 512M on his way to a 3rd place finish at the 1971 24 hours of Daytona. That podium would be shared with David Hobbs.
What a cool capture of one of the legends of racing!

Yes it is and he’s even smiling for the camera.
Actually he was smiling and laughing at the “schmuck” who was standing out there with his camera. Must have been something about that fellow to elicit such a response.
