July 1, 2009

Here at The Garage we typically don’t get into much detail about the monthly sales reports we receive from various manufacturers, but when I received an e-mail from Volkswagen of America about their June 2009 sales, I took notice.
Taken in whole, VW sales last month compared to June of 2008 are down 18%, but the [...]

VW holds 2010 Golf debut at Canadian International Autoshow

February 16, 2009

I have to admit that I didn’t listen to much of the speech that went along with the North American launch of the 2010 Golf at the Toronto Autoshow earlier this week. Instead, I was deep in thought of my own Golf memories dating way back to 1981 or so. I spent so much time [...]

Where’s Warwick?

November 23, 2008

This poor frosty looking Bug was sitting in the corner of the parking lot at the Dungannon service area. As I was taking photos, I noticed a single set of footprints in the snow circling the blue Beetle.
Somehow I suspect that Warwick Patterson may have beaten me to the Beetle!

Spotted out back: VW Hemp Mobile

May 8, 2008

Not to be outdone by California taco stands, deepest Toronto offered up this cool old camper. While scouting for old race cars, the hemp express willingly presented itself for photos when I came around the corner of an industrial area.
Cheech & Chong would have been proud to pilot this crusty machine.
Watch the sun rise after [...]
