As the new kart racing season was approaching, Miss Shelby was lucky enough to have her helmet sent out to be painted. Dan Kitching from Oracle Paint Works has worked on everything from helmets & goalie masks to guitars & motorcycles.

Most recently, Kitching has gained International recognition for his work on David Aebischer’s Team Switzerland goalie mask for the 2006 Winter Olympics.

For this project, Dan Kitching has taken Shelby’s vision of cartoon character Atomic Betty, along with the Canadian flag and brought it to life. The addition of some flames and shooting stars brings the ideas together, while the House of Kolor pearls glisten in the sunlight.
