Next up on our coverage of the 2010 Sonoma Historics is Sports Racing and GT cars built from 1948 to 1955. This group includes cars like the MG TD, Jaguar and Aston Martin. These early days of racing, after WWII, formed the basis for the great series of the Sixties.
I may have the occasional car in the wrong group, as I wasn’t there. Forgive me for any grouping errors.

This past weekend we sent Jon Emerson to the 2010 running of the Sonoma Historics at Infineon Raceway in the hopes of scoring a few shots of the on track action to share with our readers. Fortunately Jon’s memory card was empty, as he shot over 700 photos during practice on Saturday morning. We’ve pared that down to just under 300! We’re going to have to split this up.
This first segment is the big boys of NASCAR. Specifically, the first session was for 1963 – 1974 Grand National Cars. Looking through this gallery, I can’t help but think that these are not only the history of stock car racing. They are the soul of the sport.
