This week in NASCAR was entertaining but still as much as people may have been hoping for some changes, things really have just stayed the same.
Richard Childress faced his final round of appeals to have Clint Bowyer’s Penalty from Dover reduced or removed. Facing NASCAR’s appeals boss John Middlebrook, Richard Childress left the meeting feeling better than in previous meetings but in the end all he was able to do was have the monetary fines reduced while the points penalty will remain. Crew Chief Shane Wilson’s fine was reduced from $150 000 to $100 000 while Car Chief, Chad Haney’s race suspensions were reduced from 6 to 4, leaving both he and Shane Wilson out of the game until Nov. 3 and on probation until Dec 31.
Kevin Harvick remains the top driver in the RCR stable running 3rd in points as we enter this weeks chase race.
