While on his recent trip to New Zealand, our west coast contributor, Aaron Von Minden not only got to spend some time behind the wheel of some vintage sprint cars but also got to visit some nostalgic drags at Autolite Dragway. Who would have thought that front engine dragsters are alive and well in New Zealand!

Our guys on the West coast never cease to amaze me with the incredible cool car stuff they manage to send our way. Aaron Von Minden, from Savage Speed Garage has taken things to a new level this time. The Von Fonda is on vacation in New Zealand at the moment and has somehow found a stash of vintage sprint cars and managed to get some seat time. I’m disappointed he didn’t take the Stars & Stripes lid with him for the photo op!

Aaron has promised tons more photos when he gets back to Cali.
