Crazy people drive cars too

I just came across a letter from a customer that has been hiding in a file for a decade, waiting for the right time to be shared. With all the serious stuff going on in the car industry, perhaps the time has come to brighten everyone’s day.

Just to set the mood, imagine a slightly crazy lady standing at the service counter of an chain maintenance shop, describing the problems she has experienced with her 2 year old car. Imagine the staff at said franchise as they stifle a laugh and play along with the story and add in a couple of details of their own, prior to sending the lady on her way. So what does the lady do? Now that she is armed with some new information, she proceeds to write a letter to the owner of her local dealership.

And so, we give you one of the best customer letters ever sent to a dealership!

Whenever in use the car has electromagnetic radiation (CRAP) shot at it throughout the city which also affects me and has caused tissue damage. On many occasions, the car’s engine is shut down on remote basis and few hours later the car can restarted without any problems. During the last few days while driving the gauge of the speedometer was not indicating the speed of the car. Also, the gauge indicating the accumulated number of kilometers has been adjusted on remote basis - mainly the accumulated number of kilometers travelled has been increased. The car’s engine has been shut down at some municiple parking lots, including the parking lot at the Toronto City Hall. The personnel at xxxxxx muffler has informed me that the police has access to the frequency set in the car electronic/electric system. Continue reading →
