It’s early morning on Christmas Eve. Today promises to be full of running around, wrapping presents and visiting friends, so there won’t be much time for writing. Instead, I thought I’d share one of my favourite Christmas songs and the video to go along with it. David Bowie and Bing Crosby singing Little Drummer Boy. Apparently, the whole Peace on Earth combo came about because Bowie didn’t like the Little Drummer Boy bit and so the piece was reworked just hours before Bing’s Christmas show was due to go to air. Bing died a month later, leaving us with what may be one of his most classic bits of work.

I remember trying to find this on CD for years and then when I finally did, it also contained the video. Thanks to the joys of YouTube, we can all share the joy.
