Just a few things I’ve noticed today that turned my crank:

Ok, so call me color blind (which I am) but this combo is just too cool! Years ago, friend of The Garage, Racer Nika, had this cool Suzuki Swift GT with 5 spoke wheels that were dayglo orange. I coveted them for our rally car. [...]

Turn Two: Kia Forte SX

January 13, 2010

Make no mistake-the Kia Forte represents a new chapter for the Korean automaker, and shatters the notion that an economical, compact sedan has to look as as exciting as a small kitchen appliance. My prior experience in a Forte was restricted to a wet Pocono International Raceway, where I used a manual SX to acquaint [...]

Getting wet in the 2010 Kia Soul

October 27, 2009

Anyone who has known me for a while knows that my taste in cars can be best described as somewhat eclectic. Why else would I decide we should do a wet track day video of the Kia Soul. Funky and fun it is. Fast is ain’t. Really though, the rain at Pocono had been coming [...]

2010 Kia Forte

September 29, 2009

After being pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed the 2010 Kia Soul, we were anxious to see if the all new Forte would live up to our new found expectations of Kia. The company has a lot riding on this small sedan which is aimed squarely at the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. Hopes [...]

2010 Kia Soul 4U: Big little box of fun

One Step Back

January 15, 2008

Len Hunt the affable head honcho at Kia dropped by to give us the skinny on the new Borrego SUV,  getting ready for a September launch.
The 7 seater comes with a KIA first time V8 or a V6. No offense Len, but what were you guys thinking of?  It seems Kia is trying to take squatters [...]

Kia BUZZ attempts to describe the birth of a car in one post

December 28, 2007

You have to admire the fact that Kia chose a few months back to begin publishing a blog to it’s English speaking customers. Unlike some other corporate blogs that are written by the professional spin doctors, Kia’s BUZZ blog is written by employees, complete with the occasional translational gaff. I love it!

Borrego Busted

November 28, 2007

Kia has lost some of the dramatics surrounding the Detroit Auto Show revel of the 2009 Borrego. Pictures have started to float around cyberspace of Kia’s first entry into the midsize SUV market.
A V6 engine will be standard; while a new V8 – another first for the Kia brand – will be optional. The [...]
