December 8, 2011 by Todd Lewis Leave a Comment

October 20, 2011. Sun Peaks, British Columbia racer Jason White and the #21 A & W Dodge team had a season to remember in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. This year White forged a bold new partnership with Derek Lynch and the Kawartha Speedway Group and obtained powerful Dodge horsepower from DJK Racing and the results were all positive.

White made the changes to focus on his on track performance while allowing Lynch to lead the team as Crew Chief. And with the addition of more powerful motors White felt they would be a stronger team in 2011. “By defining roles and allowing me to concentrate on the driving I knew we’d be better and the results were there right away” said White.

In three previous visits to Barrie the #21 A & W Dodge team hasn’t achieved the desired results. During practice and then in qualifying White was confident their luck was changing. “As usual my Crew Chief Derek Lynch and his crew prepared the car really well and I felt really good heading into the race” said White.

July 16, 2011 by Todd Lewis Leave a Comment

July 10, 2011. Sun Peaks, British Columbia racer Jason White was hungry for more success in round number five of the 2011 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. White had reeled off three consecutive top ten finishes, including a career best sixth place result in his #21 A & W Dodge Challenger and was looking forward to racing on the streets of Toronto during the Indy weekend. Unfortunately that consecutive string came to an end.

It was a difficult start to the race weekend in practice when during the Friday afternoon practice session White had issues with the drive shaft in the #21 A & W Dodge. “It was a mechanical failure” explained White. “It’s unfortunate that it happens and it cost us a lot of practice time on this track” he added.

Team press release

June 5, 2011. (Toronto, ON) Sun Peaks, British Columbia racer Jason White arrived at Circuit ICAR north of Montreal, Quebec for round number two of the 2011 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series expecting to rebound from a frustrating season opener last week. Jason White and the #21 A & W Dodge Challenger team did exactly that posting their first top-ten finish of the season.

White grew up racing on oval tracks and is still a relative newcomer to road racing. And after getting his first look at the challenging 2.11 mile road course laid out on the runways of Mirabel Airport north of Montreal White knew it would be a real challenge for the #21 A & W Dodge team. “It’s a very tight course and really technical” explained White. “Our team wanted to set the car up to run very consistently throughout the race” he added.

Team press release

May 26, 2011. (Toronto, ON) Sun Peaks, British Columbia racer Jason White has made several trips east in the past few weeks preparing for the 2011 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series season. Following several very successful testing sessions White and the #21 A & W Dodge Challenger team are ready to hit the track next weekend for the opening event at Mosport Speedway.

The off season was one of change for Jason White who moved from team owner and driver to the sole position of driver. “I can see how this change has helped out already” explained White. “I have a lot more time now to focus on being the best driver I can and spend more time working on the marketing and promotion aspects of our partnership with A & W and it’s paying off” he added.

This season Jason White will pilot the #21 A & W Dodge Challenger under the guidance of Crew Chief Derek Lynch with the horsepower coming from the DJK Racing shop. “From the first time we hit the track during the Mopar Day test session I could feel the difference in horsepower from last year” said White. “We only got a few laps in that first day but I was very happy” said the driver.
