Auctions America is Beachin’

I haven’t found my way to an auction since the Fawcett movie car auction a few years ago so it seems kinda cool that I’m in Fort Lauderdale covering another RM auction for another publication. This one is Auctions America and it is rather, ummm, large.

Well over 500 cars will cross the block over the weekend. The marketing hook for the event is the Batmobile from Batman Forever, but there is plenty of real stuff for the enthusiasts too.

Ford launches Hydrogen engines to the public.


Those folks at Ford sure are hard at work trying to build cleaner vehicles to make Mother Nature happy. Following this weekend’s news about the 5 fuel Volvo, now they have actually sold some 6.8 L, supercharged V-10 engines that will be used in Florida shuttle buses.
