The latest in a series of videos from the Andrew Comrie-Picard camp is this stunning piece covering Team ACP at the 2008 Olympus Rally. If you are a regular reader, you’ll recognize the shooting style of Warwick Patterson and the rest of the team at Flat Over Crest.
Things have been a little crazy here in the real life version of The Garage lately, so I’m more than happy to pass on the promotional efforts of Team ACP. Besides, what could be better on a cold Monday evening than a bit of rally action? This is the latest in a series of action videos offered up by Team ACP, with a little help from friend of The Garage Warwick Patterson.
Remember the pics we showed you last weekend of Andrew Comrie-Picard’s bent Evo? Well, that poor Mitsu has been taking a beating already this season. A few weeks ago at the Rallye Perce Neige, ACP made contact with both Pat Richard and Sylvain Erickson in a single stage!
Believe it or not, Andrew Comrie-Picard kept this battle worn Mitsubishi EVO IX alive to pull out a 4th place finish at last weekend’s 100 Acre Wood rally in snowy Missouri. Battling a failing transmission, ACP was pushing hard to stay on the pace, when Mother Nature threw a couple of trees in the way! Even with substantial front an rear end damage, the EVO kept running. The impressive finish kept the team in 2nd place in the US Championship, behind the factory backed Subaru of Ken Block.
Team ACP has announced that they will be offering weekly progress updates for the rest of the season on Youtube, but we’ll also be posting them here in The Garage. You can check out the coverage from Perce Neige after the break. Continue reading →
Mitsubishi in the United Kingdom has released details of the new Evo IX FQ-360, the most recent version of the legendary Evo line-up. This brings the current roster to 4 Evo’s available in the UK. This is crazy when you consider how long it took for North America to receive one! This version puts out 366 hp and 363 lb-ft of torque with torque arriving at 3200 rpm.
More pics and Mistu UK press release after the break.
