Cody Coyote replica on ebay

It has been a while since I’ve visited Shannan Larratt at Price Of His Toys to check out the coolness that exists in the world of kit cars. I’m so glad I headed over today, or I wouldn’t have seen this incredible replica.

Way back in the 80’s I loved the Hardcastle & McCormick show. Not because the show was anything special, but because the real star of the show was a Manta Montage that had been tricked out and renamed the Cody Coyote. This replica was professionally built and is powered by a 3.3 GM V6. At only 1900 pounds, it likely flies.

The auction ends tomorrow, so if you are interested in ponying up 60 grand you can grab yourself an interesting bit of history (well, it looks like history anyway) that should actually be reliable on the road. You definitely won’t see another one passing you on the street.

E-bay find of the day: Datsun 510

mmmmm…classic old school lines, period correct wheels, modern adaption of colour scheme and a big swingin’ wing. Wouldn’t this just look great in The Garage? One things is for sure, it would no longer be a trailer queen. It would be raced at every possible opportunity.

Current bid is a paltry $5,655, which seems a tad low for such a sweet machine.

On eBay: Savage Speed Garage 49 Merc

Our west coast contributor, Aaron Von Minden from Savage Speed Garage has been working on this 49 Mercury for the past few months. The list of projects in The Garage has grown too long and it’s time for Aaron and the Merc to part company. This super clean retro machine is almost ready to roll, just needing your own style to be applied to the interior. Outside, paint it or leave it bare metal, though maybe a coat of satin clear might help if the car is coming north.

The mechanically restored Merc has already taken it’s first road trip, to the annual Paso Robles Cruise Nationals and performed flawlessly along the way.

Be sure to visit the auction now, as this supremely cool ride won’t last long.
