While the other members of the former Big 3 struggle to gain some sort of foothold in the market, Ford looks to be on the upswing in a major way. First they successfully attacked Pikes Peak with the new Fiesta, then they win the X-Games with the same little bombs a couple of weeks later. Late yesterday, Ford and NHRA announced that Ford is replacing The General as the title sponsor of the famed drag racing series.
As Ford appears to be ramping up their Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday strategy, the market seems to be responding quite well. Ford of Canada is celebrating July as their second month in a row as the top selling automaker in Canada. Couple that with a sales increase south of the border and it would seem that Ford’s plan is working out quite nicely.
