The 2007 edition of the Chihuahua Express gets underway this morning, with a trip from Chihuahua City to Madera and back. Apparently the first stage is about 40 km, so the crews and their machines are starting with a real workout. The shot above is Coop’s ride this year and he’s got a ton of great paddock shots where this one came from.

It amazes how many nice old Volvo rally cars keep turning up for vintage rallies these days. The Unlimited Class blog has already posted some nice paddock shots, as competitors prepare for the start.
It’s that time of year again. Time for a bunch of lucky gearheads to drag their race cars to Mexico for La Carrera Panamerica the Chihuahua Express. Coop and Rachel Larratt have both begun blogging their way to the border. Way up here in the Great White North, where it’s still cold and crappy, we wish all of you well and will be following your exploits!
