Another week is done here in The Garage. We had what may just be the last big snowfall of the season, fortunately here in the little town of Whitby the white stuff melted by the end of the day. I hope all of you folks digging out in the Eastern US are just as lucky, it sounds like you had a lot more than we did. Something has changed for me and I’m having fun in the kitchen again. What does that mean here in The Garage? Well, nothing other than I spent yesterday afternoon making a giant pot of chili that Carroll Shelby would be proud of! And so, enough about my world, let’s get on with the Carnival of Wheels!
One of the leading causes of injury in a shop is the incorrect use of tools. The other of course is using the wrong tool for the job. Old friend of The Garage, Dorri from If it’s got an engine… has come to the realization that he’s been using adjustable wrenches backwards. Tsk Tsk Dorri. I would have thought you might pick up on this one in Engineering 101.

Wow, the sun is shining and the snow is melting. It’s beginning to feel a lot like spring outside The Garage. With the start of racing season only a few weeks away, spring really must be close. With warmer times coming, thoughts of spring break are in most peoples minds and car bloggers are no different. This Week’s CoW is a little bit light, as many folks are already gearing up for the family vacation. That’s OK though, because that means I’ll get back outside quickly, so let’s get on with it.
We love videos here in The Garage & the normally socially responsible folks at WiseBread have a sweet vid of some shopping mall hoonage. The dude is just crazy, drives into the closed mall, makes a few turns, and out the other side. He even did a driveby through the food court! Cool.

Can you believe that we’ve all been working together on the Carnival of Wheels for TEN editions already? It seems like we’ve only done a couple so far. I say we, because this puppy really is a group effort. Firstly, there is all the car bloggers who work hard to put together posts to submit each week. Some weeks, I’ve had more than 15 to read through, you’d be amazed how long that takes to read and comment on that many posts. Most importantly, there are the readers. Without you, none of our work would be worthwhile. Fortunately, we must be doing something right, as the readers keep coming back each week to get their fill. So, not wanting to disappoint, here we go…
At Driving Enthusiast, Jeff got all fired up about a post on TTAC earlier this week where Farago goes on about the whorification of the automotive media. Jeff takes the thought a few steps further when it comes to the challenges facing online media versus traditional print media.

Due to some site issues at the Blog Carnival main site, I can’t access the Carnival database, so I’m taking the boys for a hike in the sunshine instead! The CoW will be up at some point later today I hope.

Well, another week has come and gone. Somehow we made it through without any hospital visits and both kids hockey teams won their games today, so now it’s time to blast though this edition of the Carnival of Wheels. So before your guests arrive for the big Superbowl party, grab a cold one, sit back and enjoy this week’s submissions.
It’s cold outside, and cold often keeps car buyers out of the showroom. This week we’ve got a few posts that aim to help you get the best deal on a new car. Chuck Russell has some great techniques on how to negotiate your best deal on a new car.

Well, it’s been a crazy week here in The Garage and a busy week around the blogosphere too. This week’s Carnival of Wheels has the most submissions so far, with fifteen in all. The sun is well over the yard arm, and it’s probably set in Daytona again too so feel free to crack open a cold one and join me as I read my way around the car blogs.
Normally when guys from the Middle East poke fun at religion, it gets tempers flaring. In this case, the anonymous Bizarre Jokester from New Dehli us sharing his automotive interpretation of the bible. My Fave? Meanwhile, Moses rode an old British motorcycle, as evidenced by a Bible passage declaring, “the roar of Moses’ Triumph is heard in the hills.”
Following up on last week’s CoW submission, Brian Vermette at RaceDriven has views on more changes coming in the 2007 NASCAR season. As the season is now only 20 days away, we’ll see how Mr. V’s predictions fare soon enough.

It’s another cold Sunday morning here in The Garage, but it’s nice and toasty inside. The coffee is hot, so grab a cup, sit back and enjoy today’s submissions before the day takes over.
There’s a lot of new activity happening in the NASCAR paddock this year and Brian from RaceDriven has a few opinions on what we can expect to see in the coming season. Just one thing I’ve gotta ask. Since when is Red Bull Racing an unknown team? New to NASCAR yes, but unknown?
Whenever a new model hits the showroom, there is always a bit of nervousness as the sales team wait to see the reaction from consumers. Chuck Russell is a salesman at a GM store and he’s seen some smiles on customers faces when they see the shape of the new GMC Acadia.

It’s been a busy week here in The Garage and it’s been equally busy out in the car blogging world. With the NAIAS, new model releases and news leading up to the New York show, there has been lots to read about. So let’s get things rolling, we’ve got lots on tap today.
Detroit is only a 5 hour drive from here, but I just didn’t have the time to get there so I’ve been making do with the online coverage. Brian at RaceDriven.com did manage the trip and shares his thoughts. While I’ve never been a big Chevy fan, that Camaro drop top certainly does look sweet.

Well, I suppose the holiday season is officially over now. The kids are back in school tomorrow and the neighbourhood teens are starting to act up again. We awoke this morning to that violated feeling that comes when some punk has rifled through your cars looking for change. Of course they scored about 75 cents and stole the ashtray from the Protege 5. Dolts. On a more positive note, it’s Sunday and that means the time has come for round 2 of the Carnival of Wheels. I’ve been looking forward to this all week, so lets roll!
