So this isn’t related to cars, but rather related to our little group here in The Garage. We’re pretty excited that friend of Blair Valley Media, author Julia Moulden has just released her next book titled We Are The New Radicals.

We all see the rich and famous donating time and money to do good things in the world. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could help do some good too? Well, of course everyone can do their part to make the world a better place. New Radicals offers examples and advice on how to begin making a difference through your work.

Blair Valley Media is growing and we need someone to join our upcoming fashion blog. Why am I looking here in The Garage? Well, while I don’t expect to find many fashion writers here I’ll bet that some of our readers have spouses, siblings or girlfriends who might be interested.

Regular readers of The Garage may have figured out that I’m working towards a goal here. The creation of The Garage was the first step towards building a blog network. In my eyes, that makes TG the crown jewel of the project, but I suppose I’m biased. The reality is that to grow, we are going to need more bloggers on the team.

Currently we’ve got 7 people writing 4 blogs, with a couple of others floating around the edge of the network. I’m asking all of our readers here in The Garage to pass the word around that we are looking for bloggers. It can be your spouse, neighbour or co-worker, we don’t care. All we ask is that the person is passionate enough about something that they can write a few times a week about it without burning out.

This is an opportunity for a few people to earn a little extra money, while writing about whatever they love. Topics? Well, we’re really open to suggestion. Just a few ideas are:

• Entertainment/Celebrities
• Sports - We have a hockey blog ready to roll, we just need a blogger for it.
• Science/Health
• Music
• Style/Fashion
• Home Improvement

From it’s beginnings over at Blogger, The Garage sure has changed over the past year. Version 2.0 was super cool, but with all the cool visual features it was next to impossible to add in more funtional features and some folks had a tough time reading the grey on black fonts.

Enter The Garage v3.0 where we can keep the look, but offer an easy to read and navigate format that reflects the look over at Blair Valley Media. In the near future, we should be able to show videos and hopefully even a podcast or two. So keep watching for more new and exciting stuff here in The Garage.
