Hans Stuck Injured In Endurance Racing Crash

Legendary racer Hans Stuck has sustained serious injuries in the hardest crash of his long racing career. It seems that his BMW struck a car that was parked at the side of the track. Shades of Mario Andretti on Lakeshore Blvd. here in Toronto years ago.

Freddie Hunt, Son of James Taking On Formula Ford

These are just some of the families where the Formula 1 bug bites more than one generation. Perhaps we are about to see the scion of yet another famous name move up the ranks. Freddie Hunt, son of the late James Hunt has decided, like so many others to begin his racing career in the British Formula Ford series. Both his World Champion father and his not so famous uncle began their driving careers in Formula Ford, so it’s a good place for a sentimental teenager to start off. Now let’s just hope that he doesn’t become Hunt The Shunt version 2.0

Motorsports Predictions from The Garage for 2007

It’s become somewhat of a tradition for journalists to use this time of year to reflect upon the year gone by and maybe even make a few predictions. I might be the furthest thing from a traditional journo and I’ve never had much inclination to reflect on the past year and I don’t think I’ve ever made a prediction that’s stuck. Blogging guru Darren Rowse is hosting yet another group writing project and it’s gotten the creative juices flowing. So here, for the first time are some tongue in cheek motorsports predictions from The Garage for 2007.
