Once again, the crew at Flat Over Crest have managed to put together some absolutely stunning rally coverage. This time, it was the 2008 Olympus Rally, where speeds reached 130 mph on gravel, with some corners having 100 mph exit speeds. I don’t care who you are, that is fast on a loose surface!
The latest in a series of videos from the Andrew Comrie-Picard camp is this stunning piece covering Team ACP at the 2008 Olympus Rally. If you are a regular reader, you’ll recognize the shooting style of Warwick Patterson and the rest of the team at Flat Over Crest.
Friends of The Garage Travis Allison and Andrew Harvey recently spent a day at the edge of a snowy while a handful of rally teams tested their machines for the upcoming season. The resulting combination of photography and video is very cool. The sequence photos are so smooth they look like video.
While the drivers and co-drivers where nestled up all snug in their rally rally cars, Canadian film maker Warwick Patterson and his peeps were freezing their fingers off at the side of the road at the 2008 100 Acre Wood Rally. Why were these guys standing in the woods freezing their digits (among other body parts)? To bring us some incredible video of course!
Pay special attention to the voice over. That silky tone belongs to none other than Jen Horsey, who makes all the details work at Team ACP.

Things have been a little crazy here in the real life version of The Garage lately, so I’m more than happy to pass on the promotional efforts of Team ACP. Besides, what could be better on a cold Monday evening than a bit of rally action? This is the latest in a series of action videos offered up by Team ACP, with a little help from friend of The Garage Warwick Patterson.
Remember the pics we showed you last weekend of Andrew Comrie-Picard’s bent Evo? Well, that poor Mitsu has been taking a beating already this season. A few weeks ago at the Rallye Perce Neige, ACP made contact with both Pat Richard and Sylvain Erickson in a single stage!
Believe it or not, Andrew Comrie-Picard kept this battle worn Mitsubishi EVO IX alive to pull out a 4th place finish at last weekend’s 100 Acre Wood rally in snowy Missouri. Battling a failing transmission, ACP was pushing hard to stay on the pace, when Mother Nature threw a couple of trees in the way! Even with substantial front an rear end damage, the EVO kept running. The impressive finish kept the team in 2nd place in the US Championship, behind the factory backed Subaru of Ken Block.
Team ACP has announced that they will be offering weekly progress updates for the rest of the season on Youtube, but we’ll also be posting them here in The Garage. You can check out the coverage from Perce Neige after the break. Continue reading →
