RM Auctions always puts on a great sale in Arizona prior to Barrett Jackson. And the fact that they are housed in Blenheim, Ontario is a plus here at the Canadian Garage. Two cars caught my eye that will go on the block at the “Vintage Cars in Arizona” event to be held on January 18^th at the Arizona Biltmore Resort.

One cool looking street rod is Ken “Posies” Fenical’s specially customized 1947 Chevrolet “Fleetliner” Street Rod. A wonderful example of modern styling at its best, this car presents a radical concept of mating the era of streamlining with a modern drive train chassis.

The other is a 1941 Thunderbolt LeBaron, once dubbed the “Car of the Future.” The futuristic Thunderbolt made history as the first American retractable hardtop. Spectacular.
