I worked at Dunlop in the late 60s, on Queen Street in the millwork section. There was a guy killed while I was there. He got his hand caught while milling rubber on number one and was pulled into the mill. A terrible experience for me to whitness and hear. The Dunlop days were fun and a good experience. They eventually tore the old building down and I beleive put up townhouses. I lived at 77 DeGrassi for a while in the 70s.

Hi: I used to work at Dunlop Tire, Queen Street, East, Toronto in the late 40s – am not sure when you started there. I worked under a Mr. Gerry Suckling and typed tire specs. I boarded with a Mr. Walter Cross and his wife, Marie. Walter was killed several years later while still working at Dunlop Tire when they moved to Whitby. I have been trying to find out on the interent more about Dunlop when I worked there – they were good days. Thanks for listening.
