Hello Jean(Tassie)
I worked at Dunlop in the late 60s, on Queen Street in the millwork section. There was a guy killed while I was there. He got his hand caught while milling rubber on number one and was pulled into the mill. A terrible experience for me to whitness and hear. The Dunlop days were fun and a good experience. They eventually tore the old building down and I beleive put up townhouses. I lived at 77 DeGrassi for a while in the 70s.

Thanks for visiting Jean. I think Allan was there around 67 or 68. I'm sure he'll pop in soon and comment.

Hi: I used to work at Dunlop Tire, Queen Street, East, Toronto in the late 40s - am not sure when you started there. I worked under a Mr. Gerry Suckling and typed tire specs. I boarded with a Mr. Walter Cross and his wife, Marie. Walter was killed several years later while still working at Dunlop Tire when they moved to Whitby. I have been trying to find out on the interent more about Dunlop when I worked there - they were good days. Thanks for listening.

Good read... Would have liked to see that Healey. I can remember a few friend's MGBs with 289's, very innocent looking but a ball to drive...
