If things have been a little quiet here at The Garage the past few days, there’s a good reason-we’ve been at the International Motor Press Association’s Test Days event, held in the Pocono Mountains in northeastern Pennsylvania. This year, we had our fearless leader, Gary Grant, videographer Scott Simmons, and myself.
Here’s a quick rundown of our time spent there. On Thursday, we met at the Split Rock Resort. There, we spent the morning enjoying a fun, but challenging off-road coarse. In the afternoon, we were able to enjoy our pick of some choice automobiles to drive around the area. On Friday, we spent the day at the rain-soaked Pocono International Raceway, but the rain did not stop us from driving flat out on a combination of the famed banking and a challenging infield road course.
Over the coming weeks, we are excited to show you some great material. What you will see, and hear from The Garage includes off-roading in the new Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, driving the Jaguar XKR, Mitsubishi Evo MR, BMW Z4 and the exotic Aston Martin DBS. From the Pocono Raceway, The Garage has footage from on-track driving, the highlight being from the track darling Lotus Exige.
