
Porsche and camera lens manufacturer, Sigma, have teamed up for a really cool contest. Every Supercup race weekend, Sigma will give away 1 300mm F2.8 APO EX DG HSM lens worth around 3,000 Euro. The prize will go to the FIA accredited shooter who grabs the most unusual shot of the weekend. At the end of the season, the photog whose image is chosen as Photo of the Year will win a 200-500mm F2.8 APO EX DG. While the contest isn’t open to the amateurs, there will undoubtedly be lots of sweet eye candy for the rest of us!

Stuttgart. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is searching for the best photo of the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup. In cooperation with the world-leading independent lens manufacturer, Sigma, the company awards a prize for the most unusual photo of the world’s fastest international one-make series every race weekend.
True to the motto “the Supercup from all angles” this competition is open to all FIA accredited photographers. And it pays to put Porsche in the view-finder. The winning photographer at each race receives a Sigma lens 300mm F2.8 APO EX DG HSM worth around 3,000 Euro. Alternatively, participants may choose another Sigma lens of the same value. The picture of the weekend will be displayed on the website of Porsche AG www.porsche.de. Further photos can be seen on the website of the series partner Sigma: www.sigma-foto.de.
The photo competition remains open and exciting until the end of the year, when judges choose the “Supercup Photo of the Year”. As the main prize, the winning photographer receives a brand new Sigma lens 200-500mm F2.8 APO EX DG worth around 25,000 Euro.
