If things have seemed a bit quiet in The Garage over the past couple of days, it’s because life has been pretty hectic around here. I’ve been asked to leave my post as Service Manager at the Nissan store & move to the Mazda store our dealer group owns. It seems that the service department there is having some problems and they are hoping that little ol moi can help solve them. It’s going to be a challenge, but it’s also going to be a lot of fun learning the ins & outs of the new product line.
I’ve already started scanning e-bay for a beat up old miata to turn into a lapping day warrior.

Mazda’s arent so bad. I love mine. There are a ton of guys that are members of my local forum that run Miatas in every local autox we have around here. They are pretty sweet little machines with just a little tweaking
i think we will have a blast building & running one
Hm. Interesting. I had an RX7 Turbo for 14 years and had it serviced at dealers in Alberta (1 year), BC (two years), Quebec (five years), and two in Ontario (four years). At the Ontario ones, I had the best service experience of all my car ownership at one dealer, and the very worst at another. Which are you going to?
downtown mazda – currently at the bottom of the barrell i think, but i’ll change that soon.
Gary,
I didn’t know you worked for a Mazda dealership. Are you are of this prob?

I think many of the buyers are simply not familiar with rotary engines.
we have one customer who is adamant that his gas mileage should be better, but when you read the owner’s forums he’s right in line with what others are getting. i agree that folks don’t understand that a rotary is a different breed.
