Two days ago when I was getting ready to go to THE beach, in January, I wasn’t going through the usual “beach” checklist. I was getting ready to go racing at Daytona International Raceway.
I will be working for Team No Hot Wire/ Car and Driver Nissan 350 for the Fresh From Florida 200 this week through Friday’s 3 hour race..
I got my credentials today. We also got the car unloaded and our garage all set up.
This place is huge!! Saying “somewhere in the infield” would be similar to saying “somewhere in the San Francisco Bay Area”.
After I attended the Crew Chief meeting, we only had a little time to pack up for the night and head out before the track’s 6p.m. curfew.
It was a good day. Any easy day at the track is a good day. But the car hasn’t been out of the garage yet….

Will, be sure and take some photos of some of our friends and thier cars who are running in the 24 Hours of Daytona and don’t forget our friends who hooked you guys up with a garage. Memo is driving for Doran Racing. If you see him be sure and congratulate him on smashing the lap record at Infineon.
