Land Rover Leaking

The first web leaked photo of Land Rover’s long-awaited “Landie”, which will make its debut at the Detroit Motor Show next month, has appeared on the internet.

As an aside, with all the spy shots and photo leaking making their way on the web, TV and magazines, one wonders if it is not the manufacturers themselves who are the “leakees.”

Anyway, official information and photos will be released by Land Rover on December 18.

The Coupe-Crossover concept, which some sources say may be called LRX, will have two doors and a huge glass sunroof with compact dimensions. Land Rover will consider the Landie to be their entry level vehicle.

This Landie will be smaller than the Freelander and will be based on a car-derived platform, but it will have four-wheel-drive capability. Features are expected to include fuel-saving stop-start technology - as in the new Freelander.
