Mother nature has seriously buggered up the action here in Toronto today. There was a wicked thunder storm which caused the evacuation of all the stands and the closure of all the bridges. The vintage qualifying session this morning was on again off again and then scrubbed altogether. As the rain subsided a bit, the IndyCars were sent out on track. Oops, bad call.
The boys and girl went out and slipped and slid their way around for 2 laps and then they cleaned up the carnage. When the track re-opened, a handful of cars went back out until they closed up shop again. Finally, the track has dried enough that the Indy Lights are racing. Of course I’m inside staying dry so I’m not catching any of this race. Once I figure out who is on track when, I’ll head back out to get more shots.
Small gallery after the break including some shots of Tony Kanaan in the wall.
