When you spend your day in a new car dealership, it’s not often you see any really different vehicles. So today, when Vijay Parany from JDM Cars arrived in a 1991 Mitsubishi Jeep, we all noticed.

Now many of you will say, as I did that Mitsubishi and Jeep have nothing to do with each other. You would be wrong. I was too.

It seems that in Japan, Mitsubishi built Willys style Jeeps under license from the mid Fifties until the late Nineties. This vehicle is a 1991, 2.7 liter diesel powered model. Like most JDM imports, this beasty is immaculate. I want one!

#8 john on 01.06.08 at 11:44 am: pretty sure you’ll have a hard time registering your 91 jeep in the US. they won’t let you import anything unless it’s at least 25 yrs old… i’ve seen some ’70s J53s in the US though
