Regular readers here in The Garage know that I’m a sucker for killer car videos. When they are assembled by Canadians I’m just stoked & even a bit proud. The team at Flat Over Crest, have been talking the last few months about their upcoming video magazine. The fruits of their labour, produced and directed by Warwick Patterson are now available to us, the internet viewers.
This first edition is an interview with 2006 Canadian Rally Champion Antoine L’Estage. Make no mistake though, tis no ordinary interview. There is none of that Goo-Toobe jerkiness, only crystal clear world class video. You can almost see each flake of snow coming off the the tires of the beastly Hyundai Tiburon. The sound track is equally stunning, with killer tunes, cut in & out at just the right time. The automotive soundtrack is going to become one of those that people remember for years. I’m thinking of a new drinking game. Take a shot every time you hear the waste gate chirp. I don’t think even I could take that many shots.
Even the timing is right. Long enough to sit and enjoy, yet short enough that it leaves you wanting more. Good news. Later this year, you will be able to buy a DVD from FOC. They are promising even more great footage & I’m pretty sure that they’ll deliver.
So what are you waiting for, crank the speakers and get ready to watch a young master work his magic in the snow!
