To mark the beginning of the driving season here in Connecticut, well-known sports and exotic car dealer F40 Motorsports hosts an annual Open House house party in the small town of Portland. If you aren’t familiar with F40 Motorsports, the TV show ‘Chasing Classic Cars’, which airs on the Discovery Channel may ring a bell with you. Hosted by F40 Motorsports owner Wayne Carini, the show provides insight as to how Wayne discovers, restores, and sells the most rare, interesting, and exotic cars ever made.
The event was much larger in size and scope than I’d anticipated, with a field of cars on display that offered something for everyone, regardless of where your passion in automobiles may lie. Italian exotics, British classics, American muscle cars and Woodies, race cars, the display of cars ran the gamut of the classic car world.
I had the opportunity to meet with Wayne Carini briefly, and I can say his personality in person is the same as you see on the show. What impressed me more than anything, in a sea of hundreds of car enthusiasts, many of whom were very affluent, and several cars carrying six figure prices, was Mr. Carini’s kindness and attention to my five year old son. F40 Motorsports hosts a monthly Cars and Coffee event, and I fully intend on taking wife and son into my 1976 Porsche 911S , and be assured, you readers will get a guest pass as I hope to report on it. For now, enjoy the pictures!

So many cool things to comment on here. Perhaps the coolest is the BMC motorhome! Wouldn't it be cool to arrive at the track in that!
