It seems that references to Canada’s National rodent animal are too controversial for football fans. The beaver reference in question was part of GoDaddy.com’s proposed Super Bowl ad. Rather than risk worrying the bible belt, Fox told Go Daddy it was no go for the clip.
Go Daddy has responded by filming a spot with their animated beaver characters, Jack & Dougie, watching the original ad on the GoDaddy.com website rather than actually advertising GoDaddy.
Perhaps another title for this post could have been Viral marketing takes on Danica Patrick’s beaver.

It is no shock that GoDaddy’s Bob Parson’s is crankin out Ads and getting them turned down for the Superbow. The question is will it work this year, will the press and the attention bring traffic to GoDaddy’s website and thus bump up the business. Lets hope it works because Bob seems to be on of a few Business men left that will take a chance and is not afraid of the results
I really don’t know what the big deal was with the original commercial. It was much-ado-about-nothing. Besides, I think its just a promotion ploy by GoDaddy. Look at all the attention they get every year when their ads get rejected.
