I reported in late December that MINI was looking to enter the SUV fray with a Clubman like vehicle that they will most probably dub the “Crossman.” Well Eurospies have gotten a sneak peek of the new SUV going through its testing paces.

The main difference between the Clubman and Crossman is the increase in ride height. This will give the Crossman greater ground clearance for increased ground pounding. The large wheels sit wider in the arches than standard rims, while the wheelbase is also a little longer.

It also appears that four wheel drive is certainly in the cards. There is also some talk from “over there” that the name “Monte” could also be in the running for the final name of the SUV MINI.
