They call him Crazy Leo and he’s a fiend in a Subaru on loose surfaces. Crazy Leo drives rally cars. This weekend though, Crazy Leo traded in his gravel tires for slicks for his first ever road race in the Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship at the legendary Mosport International Raceway.
As one might expect, Leo had some trials and tribulations over the weekend. Not surprisingly, several of these were caused by going in too hot! On the Saturday evening race, I saw that Leo was in the dirt in 3 and did the old spray and pray move with the shutter trigger. Many road racers would have ended up in the tires at this point, but Crazy Leo knows his gravel and kept it together to continue on in the race.
