		<description>Lying about weight also happened in auto manufacturing.  Smokey Yunick wrote about Iacocca&#039;s plan to put a NASCAR engine into a Mustang.  Knudsen objected: &quot;That car will be nose heavy and there will be no way to fix it.&quot;  Iacocca replied that he already had one built that weighs 2,500 pounds.  Well, Smokey had the finished &quot;2,500 pound car&quot; at his shop in Daytona.  It had been acid dipped, had one lightweight Recaro seat, no upholstery, no rear seat, fiberglass bumpers, no floor mats, and no sound proofing. Smokey put his elbow on the roof, and the roof sunk in two inches and didn&#039;t come back.  The car was thinned and lightened and it still weighed 3,200 pounds. Shortly after they fired Knudsen and put Lee in as president, they built a bunch of &#039;em anyhow.</description>

Forty years ago there was heavy behind the scenes factory involvement in Trans Am racing be it GM-Ford-Chrysler. The acid dipping and vinyl roof on the Camaro is always an interesting story.

Bud Moore, George Follmer, and Ford must have practiced total and complete abstinance from gaining an advantage in a hotly contested series which garnered a lot of attention and was always fun to watch. 

Those were the days when you could go out and get a Z28 or a Boss 302 or a T/A Cuda or Challenger, perhaps win on Sunday sell on Monday still applied.</description>

Craig Fisher of Toronto was one of the top sedan drivers in North America in the &#039;60s and early &#039;70s, winning several CASC and SCCA class and overall sedan championships. . A former member of the Canadian Comstock Racing Team, Craig and the late Mark Donohue finished 1-2 in the 12 Hours of Sebring in Roger Penske Trans-Am Camaros in 1968. Craig Fisher became the first Canadian to win a Trans-Am when he teamed with Mark Donohue at Marlboro, Maryland in 1968. He was the first driver to score Trans-Am points for both Chevrolet and Pontiac divisions</description>
