It’s the middle of summer and everyone’s schedules are jam packed with activities. Things are no different here in The Garage, where non automotive activities are taking up far too much time. Call it the realities of life, and obviously all our regulars are working hard to enjoy the summer, as we’ve only got one submission this week. That’s ok though, as we’re enjoying a long weekend here in Ontario and spending time at the computer doesn’t make me a popular dad. So grab a coffee, sit down and buckle up for one super hot lap of the blogosphere.
Wow, who woulda thunk that our one submission would be a huge downer! We all love cars, but let’s face it, they are a huge drain on our budgets. CoW regular Steve Faber has put together some real world numbers, just to brighten our weekend. Steve, I know we all know how expensive cars are, but did ya really have to make it sound so real? You suck!
Oh yeah…I’m not taking the bus!
While not really a CoW submission, I thought I’d point you all towards fellow Canadian Lawrence Yap. This lucky guy is a full time automotive journo who is enough of a big timer that he’s co-driving in the 2007 Transsyberia Rally in one of those built Porsche Cayenne S’s. He’s also keeping somewhat of a journal on Wheels.ca that you all might enjoy. Hopefully we can have a sit down with Lawrence when he gets back to Toronto and share some of his stories with you.
That’s it for this week’s quick lap around the auto blogs. Be sure to swing back next week, when we’ll hopefully have a few more stories for you. Bloggers, remember to get your submissions in by Saturday evening for inclusion in the next CoW.
