This week’s edition of the Carnival of Wheels comes to you live from the lovely Hampton Inn Airport in rainy Buffalo, New York. I picked up a killer new camera for The Garage on this trip and was hoping to bring you some automotive sights from Buffalo. Good luck, as the little town of Whitby has more cool car stuff than this odd town. Oh well, we’ll see what the next couple of days bring. For now, let’s take a hot lap around the auto blogs.

Over at RaceDriven, Brian has a view on this week’s penalties in the NASCAR paddock. I haven’t read anything else about it, so I don’t know all the other deets, but from what I see Brian is spot on. Also, I like Brian’s parting comment. It’s like comparing Fangio and Schumacher, there is just no basis for the comparison.

AAh, the wonders of E-Bay. Our pizza delivering friend of The Garage, Kevin recently got his old pizza wagon out of his driveway courtesy of the online auction house. He tells the tale of a well documented listing including all the vehicle’s faults that led to a successful sale.

There is no question that the world needs more efficient vehicles, that’s a no brainer. What the big brains are having problems deciding upon is what type of efficiency is it going to take to save our planet. At Houston Cars, Leroy Brown outlines a few of pros & cons of Ethanol vs. Hybrid. His arguments are leaning towards the Hybrid to win out. One thing nobody seems to have answered though is what are the long term implications of those great big batteries? They obviously can’t go into a landfill site. I guess time will tell.

The automotive world knows that car manufacturers hate bloggers, right? Well, apparently that negative sentiment doesn’t apply down under. Need proof? Just mosey on over to Australian Car Advice, where Alborz and Anthony spent a full day carousing in a Lamborghini Murcielago. That’s right, here in North America many bloggers resort to bumming rides from dealerships, while the Aussies are spending time in a Lambo! Typical Italian car, I love the shot of the storage bin held shut with tape! Great job Alborz.

We haven’t heard from Ask Patty in a while, so it’s nice to see Jody DeVere’s name pop up in the CoW this week. Have you ever been stranded at the side of the road, with a dead car? It’s not a fun time and Ask Patty has the key to staying reliable.

That’s it for the Buffalo edition of the Cow. Be sure to swing by next week as we take another hot lap around the blogosphere. Written something you want to share with the world? Be sure to visit our submissions page by Saturday.
