My co-driver is home! It looks like she’s won the battle against the Flesh Eating Disease and we can begin to get our lives back in order. She’s not entirely mobile yet, but Sandy is feeling a world better and has a great attitude. We both thank all of you for your kind words and thoughts. It means a lot to us. Now, part of getting back to normal is banging out the CoW in front of a Sunday morning race. I actually missed the Spanish GP today, as I actually slept in a bit, but the post race interviews are still on. It’s great to see Lewis Hamilton on the podium again. This young lad is going to be Britain’s next World Champion. And now…on with the CoW!

First we have a guy named Rickey. For some reason, Rickey likes to write about himself in the third person. Not only that, but Rickey doesn’t share our love of the Swedish Bricks. Rickey’s 740 is in the shop with a bit of an oil issue. You Rickey, like the rest of us who have (or do) owned at 740 are about to do an engine swap!

There is a huge car market in India, but that market has some unusual barriers that don’t exist in other countries. Possibly the biggest one is the price barrier. Thamir from AutoCrust thinks that GM might have their package right with the introduction of the Chevy Captiva to the Indian consumer.

The Blogosphere is still talking about NASCAR’s Car of Tomorrow. Brian thinks that the CoT should become the Co Today. I agree, quit pussy footing around and get the job done already!

Speaking from her Wastebasket, WenchyPoo has an interesting theory about the downside of building more fuel efficient cars. Is there some way we can tax the politicians?

Over at Automoblog, Egon is celebrating his first anniversary. To acknowledge the occasion he is revisiting a controversial topic that was posted early on. Should oldsters be banned from roaming our highways?

To quote an old joke:

I want to die kicking and screaming and screaming. Just like the passenger’s in my Grandfather’s car.

That’s it for another week. Be sure to visit next week for another lap around the blogosphere. Bloggers, be sure to visit our submissions page to be included in next week’s Carnival of Wheels.

Great to hear the Minister for War and Finance is up and about. We hope she continues on the recovery path. Stress levels a tad lower now?

Regards,
