Buying Their Way Into My Heart

It’s been many years since I’ve worked in this end of Toronto. It seems the community have welcomed me in the nicest of ways. Monday, I was treated to a killer smoked meat sammich, complete with pepperettes and pickles. Yesterday, yet another customer sent pizza. What a nice treat, to find that people appreciate being looked after. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen food arriving at a dealership, courtesy of customers.

Come to think of it, years ago it was pretty common to receive lunch from a happy customer. Christmas was always a blast, with the home bar being stocked well for months afterwards. My record year was over 30 bottles. I had thought that it was just a change in society. I haven’t received bottles in years. Now that I think of it though, it’s been since I’ve left this area of the city. Maybe we’ll be well stocked in The Garage next winter!
