Just in time for Christmas shopping, Bell has released a line of miniature helmets. Aimed at collectors, these mini lids are half sized replicas of many current fan favorites, along with some cool old drivers. Priced at only $39.95 US, these super detailed minis will look great on the shelf with the diecast collection. I know what I’m asking for this year.

RANTOUL, Ill., Nov. 8 /PRNewswire/ — You don’t have to be a professional driver to take home a piece of racing history. Bell Racing has worked with drivers, sponsors and teams to produce a new line of miniature replica helmets. At a retail price of $39.95, these make a great gift item for the holidays. Each miniature helmet is a 50% scale replica of a full-size racing helmet and features detailed graphics determined by the driver’s paint scheme, authentic helmet interior with chin straps, working visor and sponsor decals. Bell makes open wheel and stock car style mini helmets for various forms of racing.
The replicas are produced with the serious memorabilia collector and race fan in mind. Drivers often make themselves accessible to fans for autographs and Bell’s mini replica helmets are an outstanding item for them to personally sign. “Our mini replica helmets offer race fans a way to support their favorite drivers and build an affordable racing memorabilia collection at the same time,” said Kyle Kietzmann, Bell Racing General Manager. “The drivers’ helmet design has become their personal signature and is quickly becoming an icon for the sport.” Kietzmann adds, “Bell’s mini helmets are digitized from the same models used by our sponsored drivers in racing competition to ensure their authentic detail and appearance.”
Some of the available replicas include 2005 Indy Car and Indy 500 Rookie of The Year Danica Patrick, 2005 Indy Car and Indy 500 Champion Dan Wheldon, 2006 Indy Car and Indy 500 Rookie of the Year Marco Andretti, racing legends Mario Andretti and Michael Andretti, Indy Car and Sports Car star Scott Sharp, two-time Indy 500 winner Helio Castroneves, 2006 Indy Car and Indy 500 Champion Sam Hornish Jr. and 2006 NASCAR Busch Champion Kevin Harvick. Bell Racing will continue to add drivers throughout 2007. Information and detailed images of all replica helmets are available at http://www.bellracing.com/.
In addition to the driver replicas, Bell produces a line of white 50% scale signature mini helmets for events or driver signatures. Bell also produces display cases scaled specifically for the mini helmets. Bell works with individual drivers, teams and corporate sponsors to produce limited-edition replica helmets in minimum 500-unit orders for special promotions, corporate events or for retail sale.
Since 1954, Bell has been committed to providing customers with the same performance-proven features and tailor-made fit incorporated in helmets designed for the world’s best drivers. Bell helmets have been worn and trusted by more champions, in all forms of auto racing, than any other helmet.
