Baja: Tropic of Cancer – Mike’s Sky Ranch

August 5, 2010 by Neil Johnston Leave a Comment

Mike’s Sky Ranch is a mecca of motorsport, a stop point on the Baja 1000 and a hangout with one challenging driveway. A bent rim brings the guys to a halt, and begs the next question, “Is this repairable?”

Baja: Tropic of Cancer 1 – Prelude

July 27, 2010 by Neil Johnston Leave a Comment

Neil Johnston and Kevin Miklossy, our motorcycle contributors from OneWheelDrive.Net, got ahold of two Honda Varaderos this spring. 2009 Monster 696 – Monsters Inc. Reborn

May 19, 2008 by Neil Johnston Leave a Comment

2009 Monster 696In the tunnel a mid-90’s blue Cavalier pulls along side. Glancing to the right, through the glass, I see the driver mouthing the words, “Is that the new Monster?” I nod. He gives me a thumbs up, and with a roll on of the throttle the tunnel fills with the 2009 Monster 696’s twin under-seat exhaust barking their departure.

The 2008 Suzuki SX-4 : SX for the City

April 29, 2008 by Neil Johnston Leave a Comment

Belting through traffic, I feel as if I should be slaloming wash lines, market carts and pavement cafes, rather than behemoth SUVs, Cube Vans and moderately enraged drivers… one of which happens to be our cameraman in a pursing BMW 535xi. There’s Italian city car flair to the Suzuki SX4, and for good reason; in essence it is a Fiat Sedici…
