Ron Kimbal the famous car photographer is a very good friend of mine not to mention my neighbor so when it comes to art of automotive photography my standards are grown very high.
To tell the truth, since I began seeing great racing photos thru Andrew Harvey’s keen eye right here on TheGarageBlog.com and because I had not previously ran a rally of sorts, my respect and true appreciation for his work didn’t happen until my first-hand experience with this years La Carrera Panamericana. Having seen literally thousands of photos not only of Lucky but all the other competitors cars as well I have a much higher regard and new found respect for Andrew’s work. It’s down right amazing and I would LOVE to have seen him shooting my car. He really captures what a driver feels when in the car and wraps it up as a gift for those who dream about having been there or wishing they were in the car itself. I gotta have one of his calendars!

Being an hobby shooter I can attest how hard it is to make a photo have any sense to the true action that you are trying to shoot. Heck it is hard enough just to get a still shot to look good.
Gary, I know one way to get Andrew to shoot Lucky…you’ll have to come up for Targa 08!
