One of the great things about Italians is their passion for the good things in life. Fortunately that passion extends to cars and motorsport, especially Italian cars. The good folks at Abarth have been sticking scorpion badges on Fiats for many years, most recently Fiat’s new 500 and they wanted to share their passion for the incredible little car.

The best place to share the passion of a car with some serious racing heritage would be at a race track, so Abarth invited people from around the world to the Mugello circuit to experience the Abarth 500. There were driving events and races for modern cars and vintage Abarths. They even had some pretty cool Abarth slot cars for the kids. In all, there were 300 races and over 3,000 participants, not to mention 750 cars!

After the break we’ve got some photos and a short video of the weekend.

With the 500 coming to North America soon, hopefully we’ll get to enjoy the same experience soon!
